Safe Buddies

Safe Buddies are volunteers who accompany anyone feeling unsafe to their destination.


This is a non-emergency program. If you are in immediate danger, please call 9-1-1.


Service Hours:

Monday - Friday, 3 - 7 pm PST


Service Regions:

  • Phone Safe Buddies program offered Canada-wide

  • Walking Safe Buddies program subject to local availability in your region

 

There are two ways to request a Safe Buddy:



 

Walking Safe Buddies: physically walk with the client from the start to end destination


All program volunteers and clients are required to abide by current COVID-19 regulations in their region (e.g. maintaining a 2-meter distance and wearing properly secured face masks).


Phone Safe Buddies: stay on a call with the client from the start to the end destination
